A Little Bit About This Blog

I love science and I think I like it more than most people I know. Anyone who knows me will attest to this nerdy side of my personality. I’ve always been curious about how things work and I’ll randomly want to read about the sound barrier or learn what superpositions are. This often leaves me with exciting details about how something works on a deep level that, well, is not all that interesting to other people in daily conversation. So I guess, this blog will be a place where I articulate and share my deep deep love of all things science with.. well, myself.

Science has shaped the direction of society so profoundly and I want to talk about that. Especially as our we rely more and more heavily on scientific discoveries to solve problems and as it expands our understanding of what is possible to accomplish. Of course, at the same time, I know science is not perfect, it has many flaws and I will do my best to point out those shortcomings when I see them. I will also highlight how to engage in constructive skepticism when it makes sense.

I hope to learn more as I research and write posts for the site and hope that some of it helps you gain a more nuanced opinion of what science is and the people who participate in its application. Thanks for reading.
